Our Musical Director

JahPan owes much of its snappy and sophisticated style to our talented musical director, Eddie Quarless. Eddie arranges music for some of the world’s largest steel orchestras.

His credits as a studio musician, arranger and producer appear on dozens of well-known calypso, soca, reggae and steel band recordings, including the original “Hot, Hot, Hot” album by Arrow, and the albums of Lord Kitchener and the Mighty Sparrow.

Eddie’s arrangement of David Rudder’s “Dus In Yuh Face,” for the outstanding, 100-player-plus Trinidad All-Stars Steel Orchestra, received a history-making standing ovation during the Panorama Finals Competition in Port of Spain’s Queen’s Park Savannah. Under his musical leadership, the Trinidad & Tobago Defense Force Steel Orchestra placed 1st out of 34 bands the very first time they entered competition.
